My Trachelyichthys exilis spawned last night. They are a woodcat species They grow 3 inches long and are commonly called the Dwarf Wood Catfish. I was told by a couple of the few people that have spawned them that they scatter their eggs. This may be true if they have no other choice. Mine laid 19 nearly 1/4 inch eggs in a spawning mop. Searching the tank I found no other eggs. The downside of all wood cats is they are nocturnal. Often they come out for a late feeding of frozen bloodworms.
