Frozen foods are getting expensive. What dry foods are you feeding to your L number plecos?

Much the same as Carkichi

with the addition of types of Repashy  (morning wood) is a good one.

Spirulina Flakes, Growth flakes.

The plecos love the catfish sticks from Angelfin, even my L46's come out for them.  I find the L46 the most picky of all and I need to feed them Blood worms as well.

Northfin now has bug bites and they seem to like it as well.

I only feed frozen to kick start the spawning.

I also do the earthworm sticks for the meat eaters. along with Nothfin Carnivore Pellets.

Most of them love Zuccini. I put a slice in the tank and it is gone the next day.  L200,128, 204, 379. all love it. I even see the 260's come out and eat it. No go for my 134's they like The catfish sticks.

Good luck.

The L-46 are fussy but they do eat the odd blanched snow pea.

I also feed my L numbers some EWOS Pacific 7mm sinking pellets. They are made for salmon and trout and so are good for meat eaters. They are cheap to buy at just over $100 a 40 lb bag. Also feed EWOS #2 micro pellets to all my other fish once in the morning and flake at night. Most of the Guppy breeders are now feeding #1 or #2 Ewos Micro pellets. This food is sold at Sharpe's Farm Supplies.

Thanks for the tip, we have some trout ponds near by so maybe I will drop buy and see what they are feeding them. never thought of feeding them a food like this but makes a lot sense if you go through it that quick. I tried Sharpe's web site but did not see anything for fish just cats and dogs and farm animals.  But I did find a place near Kitchener that sells it (Fish Farm Supply Co. Inc.) In Elmira

My 46's eat most pellets. They also eat a bit of blanched snow peas.

Ever try feeding Chopped Baby Clams? They chop up easy if frozen.

Never. The striped silver dollars and uaru in my big tank would prob eat them before the plecos get at them. I will try in my L134 tank as they are in there by themselves.

Usually have to stick a couple shrimp on a fork and into the back of the L14/48 caves for them to enjoy
