Hello my pleco lovers! First off I wanna say thanks to those that helped make this happen! I spent months looking and an opportunity came up that I could not pass on!
Marte and I are the Proud owners of L236RB Super Whites and Basic/SW.
This breeding project will put Next Gen Aquatics on the North American Maps. We can't wait to get these breeding and spread them across North America!
They came from Europe and they have official Canadian Passports now!

More updates and pics to come! Just dealing with some personal stuff so sadly time is limited but this tease will do for now!

Wow, so nice. Maybe you could get these five to joint your group too.

I just saw this on kijiji.

Good luck.

I am selling 5 unsexed L236 SW Plecos that are around 2 inches. I have had them for about 3 months now in tap water. Well acclimated and eating NLS pellets.

Serious buyers only. These are not cheap plecos.

Congrats Chris.

I wonder whether the title 'First in North America' is transferable to the new owner of the 5 L236SW :)

@Reis  - Who said I bought them?  :) :)

BTW, all SW he had were real stunners and they were nowhere as crazy expensive as I thought they'd be.

In my hunt for the coveted L236RB Super Whites I came upon SEVERAL "L236" Super whites/Whites for sale. The only issue here for me was they weren't from the Robert Budrovkan Line. This is a red flag to me because I cant trace their origin and have no way of confirming their identity. There's been a ton of recent cross/hybrid breeding in Asia with many other hypans like (L333,L66, L400) so when they get a couple of whiter hypans from their fry they're sold off as L236 White/SW for "cheaper". Yes the pricing was amazing compared to Europe but i would never get a straight answer from suppliers or breeders on their origins. Like they always say, buyer beware, so I stayed clear because generally when it's too good to be true, its because it is. From the RB Line you're able to trace their origins and confirm they're L236 from the Godfather himself. Also when I sell them in the future I know for sure that what I'm selling and what the customer is buying is 100% L236RB SW/W. After talking to Patrick (my breeder) who works very closely with Robert there is only 1 official person in Asia who resells the L236RB. But again coming from EU and paying standard pricing they wouldn't be cheaper if anything more expensive as they're reselling. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

MANMADE............until you can show me papers to prove it otherwise.

Buyer Beware.....if you can't trace the bloodline and source then it is a big question mark.

Oh byw, I own that title of "First in Canada". I only say that because my regular L236 has a bloodline that is traceable from RB godfather of L236. Btw, my group are producing whites now.

I will be updating my post at a later date.

Don't know about anyone else but I've messaged that person selling the L236 and never got a response from them after 3 messages. Also their ad changed drastically and they're now calling them RB. Not sure why that wouldn't have been disclosed from the beginning. Anyone else get a response?? Update: Ad was taken down now??? Not sure why someone trying to sell such a niche fish would update their ad about 3 times but ignore my messages.... something just seems off...

WOW !!!!! What some people would do! Unbelievable

Why make up an Ad/Post. People, your IP address is out there. Anything could be traced.

Good luck. I am very happy that you and others are bringing rare plecos in. Look at L397s, we have them being bred in Ontario :). Curtis latest list has some available at a very reasonable price.
