Is anyone allergic to the above? I recently develop an allergic reaction to them but less so than bloodworms.

I thought they were safe.

I get them from angelfins and handle them without any issues. But I always wash my hands with Dawn soap before and after handling fish food

I bought them in 1kg loose. They came in a bulk bag and I had to repack them into containers. There must have been some airborne "stuff" during the repacking that irritated my eyes and respiratory system.

I may have to buy a HEPA face shield.

Not with FDBW as I'm a repeat customer with AngelFins and buy the cubes which I stick to glass. I have had reactions with Frozen Bloodworms but stop feeding them anyways.

I agree with Matt...wash your hands after handling them.

I can’t have any blood worms at all anywhere near me. My eyes swell almost totally shut. Haven’t experienced that with the black worms.

I have itchy fingers from some brands of frozen blood worms but not the San Francisco brand.

I stay away from bloodworm but I was surprised that I have a reaction to black worms. Itchy throat and eyes.

I don't think that it is the worms themselves but a bacteria condition in the water they are cultured in. Mega One I found to be the worst. Some packages gave me an itch and others didn't.
