Over a year ago I had a back cross with my Blue-eyed plecos produce a few Pied fry. They have grown up and have produced a few pied as well as albino, Blue-eyed and brown. Maybe this generation will have all pied when they grow up. Pied or Marbled as they are sometimes called are a bit different than Calicos.

I have something similar that came out of a normal spawning the one young male has 3 black spots think I will breed it back into the same line a few times see if it shows up again.

That is the way new colour lines develop.
