So I'm trying to setup a tank I picked up for free this summer. I built a new rack and am going to put my 40 breeder on the bottom and this 65 gallon on top.

I thought the silicone was in decent shape until I saw a seam missing. So I decided to reseal it and I spent last night and tonight getting it ready only to find this: Posted Image

I knew the silicone was old but didn't realize it expired in 2014. Anyway here is where the tank is going, and I'm painting the back of it.7f3ca3a12eb2217d30008ea0a8038e98.jpg2111dd16617931ffd8c64b25eb5831ce.jpg Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk

Nice score on that 65g and looks in decent shape even if it needs resealing. I have always preferred the tall 65's. As for the expired silicone tube not a big loss except if you needed a second tube to finish once you started to reseal.

Ya thanks. as I was taking it apart I found a few chips in it. Nothing major though. Finished the silicone tonight, not pretty but hopefully it'll hold. Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk

yep, that is frustrating, happened to me once too.  Those are certainly the nice size 65's for sure!
