Nutrafin Bug bites is a new line of fish food. It contains Larva of the Black Soldier Fly. I bought a package at the auction last Sundays and am impressed at how well even my fussy plecos ate it. Do a search on Back Soldier Fly Larva and you will be surprised at how well they produce waste into protein for animal feed.

I tried to post a picture of Bug Bites but it was not allowed.

Yup..... good stuff. Been feeding it to my plecos for awhile now. From what I remember the company that makes the bug larvae is from BC and was on Dragons den. Have only found the s/m size tho.

Petsandponds had a bucket of it in their website but then the link doesn't work when you click on it. I usually use Angelfins and mops for food but neither of them carry it yet

Any store that deals with Hagen should be able to get it for you as Hagen is the distributor.

The link at Petsandponds works for me.

I bought some smaller ones at PetSmart to try after seeing this thread. My fish also like it.

I find that the young bushynose pile on it in a hurry. It disappears in my Zebra tank over night. My King Tigers are not long jumping on it as well.

They have it in crumble and granular for large and small fish and cichlids as well as a goldfish formula. The one for Plecos and Catfish or all bottom feeders is in sticks.
