SwissTropicals is proud to introduce the new German Breeding Rings "=Aufzuchtringe". Developed by several of my German pleco friends, they are are floating egg and fry rearing incubators with integrated mini-jetlifter that supplies them continuously with fresh water.

Intended to raise small batches of almost any type of fry, their bottom is covered with a 30 micron nylon gauze. That means you can feed your fry with Artemia nauplia (baby brine shrimps), rotifers, or copepods without flushing the live food out.

Because GBRs float on the surface of a bigger tank, the water quality remains much more stable and the babies do not disperse over a large area, which would make them difficult to feed adequately.

You will find them right here: http://www.swisstrop...eping-supplies/

I intend to pick up a couple when I see Stephan at the OCA in November. Hope I don't need them before then.

:). Whenever I rearrange my tanks, which is not very often, there seems to be a clutch of eggs rolling free on sand. With the breeding ring I maybe able to hatch future "orphaned" eggs :).
