Hi - I have 3 L191 in a 90 gallon tank with discus and a few other smaller plecos.  The 91 are large, 10 - 12 inches long and I have had them for a few years now (like 6).  Water params have not changed, but pH does tend to drop, I try to stay ontop of it, keeping it at 6.5 or so with baking soda and Nutrafin KH increaser.  Temp is at 82 degrees F.  Water changes quite regularly, at least 25 % a week, probably more.  Recently, one of the 191 has changed colour, lost all the stripes and turned brown.  No sunken belly, seems to eat, no fin rot, seems as active as ever.  Just turned brown.  More recently, a second 191 has done the same thing.  Any ideas?  Thanks, Brent

Post a picture, might give us some ideas.

I would definitely do some large regular water changes and see what happens over the next few weeks

They can turn brown black or yellow

Planet catfish should have some old threads about it

As long as everything else is normal I don't see a reason to be concerned
