Central sump system vs central air system

Hi

Looking for info on what's better for plecos, would recommend a sump system or air system for plecos

I run HMF filters on pretty much all of my tanks using a central air system. I fluctuate between 12-20 tanks running. I was breeding a few L# and BNs in a 9 tank system at my last place that had a sump and a couple aquaponics growbeds on it. The tanks and sump were on a stand and the growbeds were to one end.

Ok thanks for the info, I am debating between the two, and just want to know people's experience to help me make the decision
