I have a issue here, I've been looking to buy some L340s for a while and havn't come across them. I was at BA Ham today and saw a tank of whats labelled as L129. Upon closer look, a few of them (2-3) seemed to resemble my L340 A LOT. I snapped some pictures and compared them to mine and they look like L340.

L129 and L340 seem to look the same from what I've searched online. So, I was wondering if anyone can confirm what they are, hopefully soon as I don't want to risk them selling to someone else XD

Pictures of suspects in question(all the pleco's in the tank are said to be L129, I think they might of gotten a mixxed batch of fish):

Thanks for the help!

Update: Here are some of my "L340" I am starting to wonder what I have, if they really are L340 lol.. Any confirmations, guesses?

EDIT: The last picture, I have had the fish for 1 week, purchased from Dragon Aqaurium, not sure if he is sick or just the normal way they look. Fins look a little damaged and body has fading.

You may be right as they both look similar.

The last picture? Yes, they were in a smaller tank together at the store, their new tank at my home is a 65g with tons of plants and driftwood. I am hoping he heals up without any infections or anything. Also doing 50% daily water changes until it clears up.

They are all L340.  I have a breeding group of L340 that look just like your fish.  L129 is white while L340 is yellow.  Also L340 is smaller than L129 in size.  There is a good chance that they mix them together as they both came from the general area and the mixup probably happened at the staging area.

I agree with Laisure Man, I have 2 L129 and they seem to be more white with black strips especially when they were small. I don't have any pictures of them because I hardly ever see them, of all my Plecos these guys hide out the most.

L129 full-grown adult males are actually really ugly.  The white fades to gray and the black also fades to gray.  You basically get an overall grayish fish with a hint of pattern on them.  The juvies are much more attractive.
