So my pleco addiction lives on. I was at Costco and picked up a Snap-On rack I think it's 6x6x26" deep super heavy duty. Each shelf holds 2500 lbs $189 plus tax. So the organization begins. The clutter and wires will all be gone soon.
I have to place the blame on Dutch aka Steve and Rich Canada pleco. 1 set up quarantine tank. 2 shift all my breeders and stuff. 3 clean the floor so I can walk. Lol

If you had my wife 2x4 does cut it. She would tell me to put it in the garage.
My response would be to put her in the garage. So you see where this would lead.......lmao

I have the same shelve. Even though it holds 2500lbs, it will also bend/bow to the weight. I ended up having to remove a couple of tanks to learn the weight on each shelf. Best of luck.

I was shooting for half that weight about 1200 lbs - 1500 lbs per shelf so if it still bows it will go back. It will be used for a bunch of 10 gallon, 30 gallon, and maybe a couple of 55 to 75 gallons. Most important is organization and being able to turn around and not knock stuff over. Lol Best thing about Costco if you don't like it you can return it.
Thanks for the advice.

I had a rack like this, I put 2 x 125g tanks on it and it didn't bow at all.   I changed out the crappy fibre board with ply though.

Is there a costco in Keswick now?  Or is nwmkt the closest one?

No still in Newmarket. Although Keswick has grown quite abit in the last 5 years.

As far as the rack goes it's made Snap-on and I did check display model and it looked solid.
It actually uses mesh caging instead of partical board which would allow any water to fall to the bottom which I thk is great. If I have to add ply is the way to go for sure. I can't see it bowing cause it's a 2x4 steel box beam.

Also a tanks weight is spear pretty even unless it a bow front so I'm not to concerned about that either. The picture is just on the box. I will post a new picture once I have it all setup.

I love reply more because my email sound makes me feel important. Lol

Not this that I know of but they do carry others online. They had a couple kinds but not heavy duty enough.
Some of the furniture display racks at Walmart are solid with 2x6 box beam but they wouldn't sell them.
I'm sure you can find them problem will be shipping unless you can pick it up.

Try places car batteries. Those racks have to be strong and I bet come in all sizes.
