Marine algae grazing blocks

Saw these on sale at big als for 99 cents each. First ingredient is agar agar which I thought was cool as its used in kitchen applications when you need vegetarian gelatin

 

I need more grazing stuff in my tank as I just picked up a flagtail prochilodus and they are grazers as well as my plecos.

 

anyway, anyone tried these before in freshwater?

i use them for freshwater all the time at the store since we had so many its actually a good food
