Apparently they have been selling tank raised ones for over a year now. Around 100 euro each.

$130 ish CDN each... shipping plus other BS prob around $200.
Would need to bring 10 or so to make it worth while.

Honestly they're cute, and I want one that young to grow out. I just printed off their contact info for our head office to look into I'd love to order in like 30 of those

They're so sensitive at that age it wouldn't be worth the trouble IMO
Larger ones only cost 400-600 each and they're pretty hardy

Except its impossible to find larger ones
There is one main guy that is exporting to the US and he only ships to 1 person in the US, Then add in that he says no fish until Nov-December now. Argentina Government is trying to put a ban on them as well, lets hope it doesn't happen, as that would make a hard to get fish even harder.
Steve I would buy a couple if they got some in from Glaser.
They are REALLY small tho... 1" is a tiny fish.

yea 200 dollars for a 1inch pleco that i've never seen is a bit too much of a risk for me. I've done that once before and the fish didnt make it, so I wont be doing that again.

I think they're sort of wide spread. Last few vendors I've seen selling them said they're out of brazil.
PC has their locality spread out as well.
Dude selling them on FB and AB said they were caught in brazil as well.
Still hard to get but the price is worth it the fish being sold are pretty dang big. The $200 each @.75"-1" isn't worth it at all.

Agreed. Prefer to pay more for a much much bigger one than $200.00 for a tiny 1 inch.

Well looking into this Florida guy and it looks like he has 8 fish for sale 14-18" - Phase 2 & 3 - price is 850.00 phase 2 and 950.00 for a phase 3 - PM for Pictures please. They are due next week, and I will be shipping some to Toronto (3-4 already sold) and the rest will come to Cow Town! So save on shipping and get some very healthy acclimatized fish.
