hey all, I was watching my adolescent L190 on the glass yesterday and it looked like he was missing a few teeth. He's fully healthy, and big eater and always active in my tank.

anyone else ever notice this in their plecos? I cant seem to find any info online about plecos losing teeth.
I'm assuming that since they spend most of their day chewing on wood that from time to time they are going to lose teeth, and they are going to grow back.

anyone wanna chime in?

They shed their teeth. This is what I've been told and have experienced.
I've found lots of teeth when I had my old l-14's and have found a few from my royals.

I've noticed my guys missing theeth and they're back in no time.

I still have some scobi teeth laying around. When I find them I'll post pics .
