Soooooooo :sweat::sweat::sweat:
Im gonna try this again :- )
I want to get rid of them but before selling them i need to know what they really are.

***please look at page 3 for their out of tank pic
Thanks:blush:

I'm a L144 and albino BN pleco lover. I have no idea what these guys are. My cousin said they were label L002 when she bought them. Can you all confirm and how much do they worth if i decide to sell them. What are their gender (if you can tell)

One is really big. A bit more than 4 inches. Another is 3.5 inches and the 3rd one is in between. I say 3.75 inches.

Looks to me to be a species from the Pekoltia genus.

They look alot like my L 15. Can you take a side profile picture of the head and a face on picture of the head? I think that would help alot.

Hi,

it looks that the dots on head lie on lines.
I think it's Peckoltia lineola (L202).

Hi,

if you think on the pictures there are L2 then look at the teeth.
L2 this is a species of Panaqolus/Panaque.
The others above are Peckoltia.
Both genus have very different teeth / jaw. (look mouth studies)

Hi,

L208 and L243 these are species of genus Ancistomus.
Isbrücker and Seidel have published the description in a aquaristik paper, not in a scientific paper. Therefore, this genus is not officially recognized.
One feature there is the generally much more extended long body shape as Peckoltia.
(Also in the development of fry there is a marked difference: Peckoltia get their end-color after a few days, less than a week. Ancistomus change their color a second time after 3-4 weeks.)

In the pictures above, the plecos appear to be relatively short.
So I think it's no Ancistomus, it's not L208 / L243.

Greetings
Elko
