that makes me sad.. I remember hearing about this a while ago and felt like crying to see the beatiful water falls that will be destroyed because of it and I just realized now because you just stated Xingu River.. I wonder how many plecos will loose their lives not to mention all other species of life will be destroyed. very very very sad thing people are ultimately going to destroy the planet.. makes me not want to have kids..

Shows the the world human population is too high. Mother Nature is sure to intervine some day in the forseeable future. Climate change, floods, storms, heat and famine or maybe drop an asteroid.
