Very good video. They look great. Congrats.

L134's grow much faster than most plecos. My first babies, born about 20 months ago, are almost the same size as their parents. My L262's by comparison are very slow growers at less than half the size at the same age.

Haven't updated for a while, fish have been breeding like crazy. They have been sitting on clutches pretty much non stop since April. There hasn't been a time where at least one male has had eggs or fry on the go.
I have three 40 gallon breeders on the go for grow out.
L134's put on huge growth in the first couple of months and then seem to slow a little bit after that. I had some black sand in the bottom of one of my growouts, I decided to take it out as it seemed to trap some of the food and I wanted to go bare bottomed. After taking out the wood and rocks out and siphoning out the sand here is what I found in there.
:grinder:
Still a bit young to sell but should be ready late spring

Enjoy

Awesome - I loved reading it all and seeing the pics and videos - good job! I like the round/cylindrical squished caves - where did you get them? I'd love a few for my plecos.

Hi DaveJ,

Are those Vinegar eels swimming in your water column towards the end of your video. Do your L134's eat them at all?

BTW, Congratulations! Only in my dreams that i could be successful as you in breeding plecos

Cheers,
Marte

Thanks for the nice comments everyone
Those little wigglers are harmless nemetodes. The plecos ignore them.
They are the main reason I removed the sand I had in the tank.
They burrow into the substrate and feed off any unbeaten food.
